We are a family owned and operated cattle ranch located on the southside of Francois Lake BC. Tatalrose Ranch was founded in 1982 and bought by Cya and Jon Solecki in 1999.  Since moving to the ranch with their children Matthew, Chris, Owen, and Lauren, the family has worked together to build up to a 350 head ranch selling Black Angus and Gelbvieh cross beef cattle. After many miles of fencing, development of the crop land, meticulous selection of high quality genetics, and alot of hard work, the ranch today looks much different than it did when Cya and Jon first purchased the property. While three of the four children have moved on to their own careers, Chris along his wife Lauren, and their kids Darci and Ford now work with Jon and Cya to operate the ranch. 

We currently sell the majority of our animals through the commercial cattle market but hope to one day be able to market all of our animals direct to consumer.

We believe in raising healthy and stress-free animals using proper animal nutrition and good animal husbandry practices. Our animals are grass fed and grass finished for the entirety of their lives and receive antibiotics only when animals are in need of immediate care. We follow a comprehensive herd health program based on consultation with our local veterinarian to ensure our animals maintain good health throughout their lives. We do not use any growth hormones and we are also a Verified Beef Production Plus certified operation. The Verified Beef Production Plus program certifies producers who adhere to the highest standards of food safety, animal care, and environmental stewardship.
